What Information Do We Collect?

Upon registration, Buylink collects a number of pieces of personal information such as name, address, phone number, and email address. Also collected are a password of the registrant’s choosing and their respective mother’s maiden name. Company information is also collected in the form of credit references, resale numbers, federal tax identification numbers, billing information, and general business demographic information such as business size and store theme.

Additionally, users responding to Buylink employment listings may be asked to submit resumes which include the above-mentioned personal contact information, work history, educational background, and professional references.

How Do We Use This Information?

Your contact and business information may be used to facilitate transactions and inquires with other registered users of the Buylink site. Once logged in, a retailer can see the company contact information for all vendors whose products they locate. The purpose of this ability is to allow contact between the retailers and vendors using the Buylink marketplace so that they may discuss details such as product characteristics, credit terms, payment preferences, and order minimums. Retailers are not able to obtain any contact information for other retailers, and vendors are unable to see other vendors contact information.

The general demographic information collected about your business is used to determine Buylink marketing objectives, user characteristics, and other business objectives. This information is used strictly in an anonymous manner.

The information provided to Buylink on resumes will used only for the purpose of screening for candidates for employment at Buylink Corporation. References will not be contacted without the candidate’s permission and past employers will not be contacted. Personal contact information provided will be used only to communicate with the candidate.

None of the information collected will be sold, rented, or otherwise made available to any third parties.

How You Can Review, Update, and/or Delete This Information

After logging in to the Buylink system, you will have the ability to change any or all of the contact and business information that you have provided us with by accessing the "My Profile" tab from your home page. Additionally, at any time you may review or update any of the information you have provided us with by contacting us at customerservice@Buylink.com or 800.504.8600.

How We Protect This Information

This information will not be made available to the public at large, as the exclusive Buylink Corporation online marketplace (http://www.Buylink.com) is available only to certified vendors and retailers. Only these individuals are eligible to register at Buylink and take advantage of our Business-to-Business marketplace. In addition, to prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard the information that we collect online.

The Security of Your Information

When you submit sensitive information to Buylink our goal is to ensure that it will be transmitted across the web with the highest degree of security possible. We use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology which encrypts sensitive information such as your name, address, phone number, creditcard, etc. Our website also uses the Verisign digital identification service which allows your browser to properly confirm the server you are transacting with is Buylink's server. During the information transaction, the server is properly identified with your browser and the information is encrypted before your personal and credit card information is transmitted.

Please note: Some corporate firewalls do not support secure SSL transmissions. If you experience problems when trying to connect using the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), please contact your internet administrator.

Our Policy on Information Sharing

Buylink Corporation does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to other parties. This Privacy Statement will be proactively updated to reflect any changes to this practice in the future. Also, Buylink Corporation may use this information to provide aggregate statistics about our users, sales, traffic patterns, and other site information to third party entities, but will include no personally identifiable information. In addition, Buylink Corporation will release personal account information when in good faith we believe that such a release is reasonably necessary to:

Also, in order to assist vendors and retailers conduct efficient transactions, Buylink makes use of the PayPal service provided by X.com, Inc. PayPal operates under its own privacy policy which can be found and further evaluated at the PayPal web site.

Your Use of Other’s Information

In order to facilitate interaction between our vendors and retailers, Buylink allows you to access the contact information of every vendor and retailer on the site. By entering into our User Agreement, you agree that Buylink Corporation grants you a license to use this information only for Buylink-related communications that are not unsolicited commercial messages. In addition, under absolutely no circumstances may you disclose personally identifiable information about another user to a third party without our consent and the consent of such other user after adequate disclosure.

Your Consent

By using the Buylink web site, you consent to the information collection and use practices that have been previously stated. If for any reason we deem it necessary to change our privacy policy, we will post the changes on this page. This ensures that you will always be aware of what information we collect, how it is used, and under what circumstances we disclose it.
